Nothing, its terible.
We did not like anything. We came on time but the hotel wa so terible that we slept only one night instead of two, and left Hotel in the morning. We paid 63,90 eur for one night but Hotel Central charged us for another 19,90 eur without our knowledge (we suppose becouse we left). We blame Booked.net, becouse in the terms nothing is said about second night. We expect that Booked.net will take care of stopping the charge of 19,90 eur on my MasterCard. We recomend that you take off the list this hotel.
As the name suggests, this hotel is right in the centre of Avignon. It was the cheapest hotel we found in the centre of town.
It was the cheapest hotel we found in the centre of town so we were expecting it to he quite basic. It was. The room was very small and pretty dusty. We booked a shared bathroom but regretted it. There was only one shower and one toilet for all the rooms. We often had long waits to use them. Also they were quite dirty and down two floors from our room. The staff were very nice though and let me use a bathroom in another free room. There was a sink and a fan in the room.
This was a clean basic hotel which was perfect for two nights, any longer may have been a bit harder as the room was quite small. Has a very pleasant outside courtyard area with chairs/tables where you can relax and have breakfast. If you arrive at the new Avignon tgv station there is a 10 minute ride on a shutte bus to take you to the Central Station (Gare sncf). From the central station cross the road to Porte de la Republique and walk downtown about 200m to the hotel on the right hand side by a Tourism Information Site.
Right in the centre of the wonderful city of Avinon. Hotel rooms tiny bathroom really tiny. No lift and lots of stairs, not easy to negotiate with heavy bag. Very much a 2 star experience , though staff very friendly, new decor would help.
Location is very good and convenient to the Palais de Papes. Avignon Centre is 5-8 min.'s walking. There is a Carrefour nearby. Room is nice. The shared bathroom and toliet are not bad and it's clean.
No WIFI service provided although their introduction do have.
True to the name, it's centrally located--close to train station, TGV shuttle, main shopping areas and places of cultural interest. The bathrooms, although tiny, are very pretty and nicely renovated.
Although set back from the street, there is quite a bit of traffic noise. The reception area looks seedy and run-down. The narrow staircase is covered by filthy, stained, ancient carpeting; the walls of the staircase and hallway are pretty disgusting and in need of a good cleaning and paint job. The wifi was not working "today" (according to the sign), which seemed to be the case every day. No one would say when it would be fixed.
Friendly personnel, excellent location in the city center
Non-functioning air condition, the holder of hand-held shower was broken
Location is the only positive thing I can say about this hotel. this is a hotel where the owners have absolutely no pride of ownership. there is a sense that no money is put into maintaining and upgrading the facilities.
The location is good, however, the room is not clean and it's very hot in June-July without air-conditioner. I would like to increase my budget to choose a better one in the future.
The location - right on the main street and close to the main square - very central
the room was very small almost dinghy, ac did not work properly, and the man at the counter was not civil - a little rude and arrogant
Staff were friendly. Enjoyed breakfast outdoors. Felt safe, good location close to sites as well as transport. Room was bright. On balance I felt these positives outweighed the more budget aspects of this hotel.
I had read many reviews and had a realistic expectation of the hotel. It is a little in need of updating and paintwork/re-furbishment.
The location was ideal. It is located in the centre, but not adjacent to the main street, hence the tranquility. Unfortunately because of the structure of the hotel a lot of noise is created by the inhabitants that could have been avoided.
- When described a toilet in the room, you get a shared one - The shared bathroom was just revolting - dirty and rather smelly hotel - The structure is rather dangerous (e.g. a toilet build outside the hotel on the second level, just being supported by iron frames see pic). - If there is a fire in the hotel, it will be a disaster - the emergency instructions are already a big joke.
Room far too small to accomodate two adults. It was necessary to reverse into the toilet as there was no room to turn round
Close to centre, nice staff, free wifi, great city for sightseeing.
breakfast, that is, the tea was cold and so was the breakfast room.
Reception staff were most helpful and friendly.
Bed was awful! Matters was too old and lumpy! Patio And entrance hallway was dirty.
